At the June Shire Meeting the Shire advised that full funding for the centre had been secured from the state government and the meeting approved the tender from Killmore Group (Timberbuilt) for the design and construction of the centre building.

On Friday morning 1st July Robyn Clarke, and David Bolt formally announced that the funding had been secured.  Completion of construction is expected by February/March 2023 barring unforeseen delays.
